Singer Britney Spears has Been Under Conservatorship for the Past 15 Years!

Many people who are not in the legal system do not know what a conservatorship is. A conservatorship is when one person has complete control of another person’s finances, and medical decisions. This is usually reserved for the elderly if they have dementia or for a person of any age if they have a brain injury or issue. The purpose of it is to protect people who aren't able to make decisions for themselves. But, some people have actually been harmed or taken advantage of by their conservators, even if they are family. For the past 15 years, singer Britney Spears has been under a conservatorship by her father, Jamie Spears. It started when Britney made herself bald so she could get some privacy from the paparazzi. This caused people to think that she was not mentally okay.
